Styles of Yoga

1/ Bikram method

- hot Foundation - 90 minutes. Studio 40 degrees
The original 26 posture sequence that hones your concentration and focus and builds tremendous self-control, faith and patience. The movements are slow moving and static. Form is always paramount over depth. The body is the object not the posture, therefore this is beginners yoga and accessible to everyone. You start where you are at and you go from there. So here begins the awesome process of becoming happier, smiling more, becoming stronger both mentally and physically, stress relief, weight loss and injury prevention, all while being in a supportive community.

- hot Expression - 60 minutes. Studio 40 degrees

After 4 years of incredible community building and disciplined practice of the traditional 90 minute class, we collaborated and developed a new class for todays busy and tightly scheduled wellness warrior.  It contains all 26 postures from the Foundation class.  The expression class has great flow sequences, less formal breaks but leaves you feeling invigorated, refreshed and energized.

It is recommended that you have completed a few ninety-minute foundation classes if you are a brand new practitioner so you are familiar with the set-ups, correct grips etc which aren’t elaborated on in this class. If you have practised other yogas, no worries just come on in!


2/ Power Yoga

- power Vinyasa
- 60 and 75 minutes. (Studio 30 degrees in winter, room temperature in summer)
The perfect compliment to our hot classes, this dynamic form of yoga is based on vinyasa movement in flow sequence. Breath led movement, starting with the foundational Sun Salutation A and B's and moving into other sequences consisting of lunges and standing postures. Finishing with some relaxed tunes to wind down from this total body workout.

Modifications offered to suit all levels therefore this yoga is accessible to everyone. Watch as you build strength and flexibility to go further than you ever dreamed possible. Dive into your breath, step out of your mind and transform your life! 

3/ Yin Yoga - 60 and 75 minutes. Room temperature. 

Yin Yoga is a meditative practice consisting of long held stretches without muscle tension, focusing on the deeper tissues of our body (tendons, ligaments, fascia) - strengthening, stretching and stimulating to encourage more flexibility and freedom of movement while simultaneously releasing deep tension of the body and relaxing the nervous system.  Yin Yoga reduces stress while stimulating regeneration. You will float out of class!
